| The Chico Certified Farmers' Market mission is a unique opportunity where farmers and vendors can sell directly to the consumer in organized farmers' markets in the Butte county area. Our first farmers' market began in Downtown Chico in August of 1980. The Downtown Chico farmers' market moved many times before it found a more permanent location in Downtown Chico. |

| We operate five farmers' markets in the Butte County area all under the certification of the Butte County Agricultural Commissioner and the State of California Department of Food and Agriculture's Direct Marketing Program. We operate one year-round market on Saturdays in Downtown Chico and four seasonal markets in Chico, Oroville, and Paradise. Shoppers can find an unlimited selection of fresh picked, locally grown fruit, vegetables, nuts, honey, olive oil, rice, grass fed beef, lamb, ham, chicken, pork, eggs, herbs, flowers, plants, fresh baked artisan breads, handcrafts and prepared foods. |
